Green Audit Campaign

Fresher air: Secretary for Environment Edward Yau (second left) officiates at the first anniversary of the Green Audit Campaign.

*

The Green Audit Campaign is proving a success with participants in it growing three-fold since the scheme's launch a year ago.

Speaking at the campaign's first anniversary today Secretary for the Environment Edward Yau said the participants are from all walks of life and different businesses, from universities to green groups, and from professional bodies to property managers.

"I believe with the leadership demonstrated by the people present today here and by the Government setting the example, volunteering our buildings to do carbon audits, and also with the $450 million project we launched for subsidising local carbon audits, Hong Kong will step into a new chapter whereby we will be more able or better equipped to become a much greener city," he said.
