Landfill extension proposed
*
AFCD

Five hectares of land in Clear Water Bay Country Park will be excised from the existing park area for the South East New Territories Landfill extension.

The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department said it is a piece of scrubland and grassland. No recreation facilities are located within it and the roads within the country park will not be affected.

In accordance with the Country Parks Ordinance, the Country & Marine Parks Authority has prepared a draft replacement map of the park for public inspection for 60 days from today.

Apart from the excision area, the draft map - which covers an area of about 606 hectares - is identical to the approved map. Click here for details.

People can also examine the draft map free-of-charge at designated offices during office hours, buy a copy at $34 each at the department headquarters on 6/F Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon.

Any person aggrieved by the draft map can submit a written objection, or propose an alteration, to the Country & Marine Parks Authority and the Country & Marine Parks Board's secretary within 60 days from today.
