Water remains 'good' at 24 beaches
*
Environmental Protection Department

The Environmental Protection Department today has rated water quality at 24 beaches "good" and nine "fair".

There was no change in the grading for these beaches compared with last week.

Seven beaches - Anglers', Approach, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei, Lido and Ting Kau - are closed to swimmers year round due to poor water quality. People should not swim at these beaches.

Bathers should also avoid swimming at beaches for up to three days after a storm or heavy rainfall.

Click here for beach water quality updates, or call 2511 6666.
