Water at 19 beaches rated 'good'
*
Environmental Protection Department

Water quality at 19 beaches has been rated 'good' for this weekend by the Environmental Protection Department, with 13 'fair' and one 'poor'.

Compared with last week, Big Wave Bay and Stanley Main Beaches have been upgraded from fair to good, while Lower Cheung Sha Beach has changed from good to fair.

Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year-round because of poor water quality.

Bathers should avoid swimming at beaches for up to three days after a storm or heavy rainfall.
