Signal No. 3 hoisted
Tempest check: Hong Kong Observatory has hoisted Strong Wind Signal No.3.
*

Strong Wind Signal No.3 remains in force while Tropical Storm Neoguri has made landfall near Yangjiang and weakened into a tropical depression. It is now almost at its closest to Hong Kong and expected to move away later tonight.

Hong Kong Observatory will consider cancelling the signal when local winds decrease.

At 11pm Neoguri was about 140km northwest of Hong Kong near 23.2 degrees north and 113.2 degrees east. It is forecast to move northeast at about 18kph towards inland Guangdong.
