More grass temperature data goes online
*
HK Observatory

Grass temperatures on Tai Mo Shan and at King's Park are now available on the Hong Kong Observatory's Regional Weather webpage.

Adding to Ta Kwu Ling, real-time readings from Tai Mo Shan automatic weather station and King's Park Meteorological Station are available online between 5pm and 8am from today.

Observatory Senior Scientific Officer CC Chan said grass temperature information can help farmers determine if they need to protect their crops on cold nights.

Readings are recorded at the ground surface just above short grass. The observatory has disseminated real-time grass temperature information from Ta Kwu Ling automatic weather station since December 2006.
