Water at 4 beaches rated 'good'

Environmental Protection Department

The Environmental Protection Department has rated water quality at four beaches 'good' this weekend.

They are Clear Water Bay Second Beach, Deep Water Bay Beach, Golden Beach and Silverstrand Beach. There was no change in their grading from last week.

Seven beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality. People should not swim at these beaches.

Bathers should avoid swimming at beaches for up to three days after a storm or heavy rainfall.
