Secretary for the Environment Edward Yau will visit the US west coast January 15 to 20.

In Los Angeles he will meet the California Lieutenant-Governor, government officials, academics, think-tank experts and business leaders to exchange views on how to improve air quality and tackle climate change.

In Sacramento he will meet government officials in charge of energy and environmental protection.

He will address business luncheons in both cities on Hong Kong's environmental efforts, and visit renewable energy facilities in San Francisco, including a wind farm and solar panel systems.
