The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department will hold a logo design competition to enhance student awareness of endangered species protection.
The competition has two categories - primary school and secondary school divisions. Designs should be themed on the protection of endangered flora and fauna, such as preventing overuse of wildlife resources, and the poaching or smuggling of wild animals and plants.
A winner, first runner-up, second runner-up and 10 outstanding awards will be selected for each category. An award for active participation will be given to the school with the highest number of submissions. Each winner will be awarded a certificate and book coupon. Winning logos will be printed on souvenirs for public distribution.
Entries should be submitted by post or by delivery to the Endangered Species Protection Division, Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department, Counter 7, 5/F, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, or through schools, by October 27.
Results will be published on the department's website in mid-November. The prize presentation ceremony and exhibition will be held in Hong Kong Wetland Park on November 24. Click here for more information or call 2150 6974.
