The Environmental Protection Department is seeking bids for the management and maintainenance of the common infrastructure and facilities in the 20-hectare EcoPark in Tuen Mun Area 38.
The successful bidder will also be asked to assist in monitoring tenants' daily operations.
EcoPark is one of the key elements of Hong Kong's waste-management strategy, as mapped out in the Policy Framework for the Management of Municipal Solid Waste (2005V2014), to promote the local recycling and environmental industry.
It can also help jump-start a circular economy in the Government's efforts to tackle the urgent and serious waste problem in Hong Kong.
Lots in EcoPark's Phase I are scheduled for occupation by the end of the year. The entire construction project will be completed by the end of 2009. It will offer the recycling and environmental industry with long-term land equipped with basic infrastructure at affordable rates, encouraging the industry to invest in advanced and value-added recycling processes.
Tender documents and more information are available at Scott Wilson Limited, 38/F, Metroplaza Tower 1, 223 Hing Fong Road, Kwai Fong, New Territories.
Deadline: July 21
