Located at the northern part of Tin Shui Wai, the park is the first major green tourism facility in Hong Kong. It aims to promote ecotourism and education on environmental protection, as well as wetland conservation.
The park has a 10,000-square-metre indoor "Wetland Interactive World", and a wetland reserve of more than 60 hectares. It is the first of its kind in Asia.
The Architectural Services Department carefully designed the park's layout to ensure harmony with the surrounding environment and no disturbance to the wildlife.
Its design was recently awarded the Hong Kong Institute of Architects 2005 Medal of the Year.
The park will open to visitors starting tomorrow. The opening hours are from 10am to 5pm.
The entrance fee is $30 for adults, and $15 for children, students and seniors. Groups can also book their tickets through the park's website.
