The Environmental Protection Department recorded 16 pollution convictions in April.
Among them, five were convictions under the Air Pollution Control Ordinance, five under the Waste Disposal Ordinance, four under the Noise Control Ordinance and two under the Water Pollution Control Ordinance.
The heaviest fine was $25,000, levied against a company that contravened the provisions of a licence.
