9 convicted for pollution offences

The Environmental Protection Department recorded nine convictions in March for breaches of anti-pollution legislation.

Six were for noise pollution and three for air pollution.

The heaviest fine, $75,000, was meted out to a company that carried out notifiable works in breach of the Construction Dust Regulation.
