The Environmental Protection Department recorded 21 prosecutions in October for breaches of anti-pollution legislation.
Seven were for air pollution, six for waste disposal, five for noise and three for water pollution.
The heaviest fine was $30,000, assessed against a company that imported controlled waste without a permit.
