Green talk: Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works Dr Sarah Liao and Guangdong Environmental Protection Bureau Director Li Qing meet the media.

Hong Kong and Guangdong have implemented vehicle emission controls to improve air quality, Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works Dr Sarah Liao says.

 

Speaking after meeting Guangdong Environmental Protection Bureau Director Li Qing today, Dr Liao said they exchanged ideas on improving regional air quality.

 

Both sides welcomed the implementation of the Pearl River Delta Regional Air Quality Monitoring Network. The aim is to release the latest information on air quality to the public.

 

Mr Li said his delegation has learnt a lot during their visit and pledged to conduct the necessary measures to reduce emissions.
