Part players: Sustainable Development Council member Choy So-yuk (2nd right) opens the Play Your Part in Sustainable Development audio-visual, poster and booklet design competition, with adjudicators Lister Cheung, Michael Lai and James Mok. |
Students and the public are invited to join the Play Your Part in Sustainable Development competition organised by the Council for Sustainable Development.
Entrants must design a poster, booklet or audio-visual presentation to promote awareness of sustainable development and encourage people to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
The council plans to use their ideas in its own publicity campaigns, to help fulfill its aim of working in partnership with the community to raise awareness of issues related to sustainability.
Speaking at the launch of the competition today, council member Choy So-yuk urged everyone to think about how to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle, to ensure a good quality of life for future generations.
Competition entries close on May 31. Results will be announced in July, and there will be awards for distinction and merit in each of the entry categories.
Copies of the information pamphlet and entry form are available at District Offices and public libraries. For details of the competition, visit the council's website.
