9 polluters fined

Environmental Protection Department

Nine pollution convictions were recorded in February, with the heaviest fine of $6,500 meted out to a company which failed to comply with an air pollution abatement notice.

 

The Environmental Protection Department said eight of the convictions were for air pollution and one for waste disposal.
