TELA

The Commissioner for Television & Entertainment Licensing handled 206 cases in March and April, involving 316 complaints.

Thirteen complaints were classified as minor breaches and 138 cases involving 191 complaints were unsubstantiated. The remaining 55 cases involving 112 complaints were outside the ambit of the Broadcasting Authority Ordinance.

Meanwhile, the Broadcasting Authority at its May meeting accepted the applications of Master Asia Enterprises, Harvest Star International and Tak How Investment to surrender their Other Licensable Television Programme Service Licences from the end of March out of commercial decisions.
