Gov't seeks more info on Conduit Rd transactions
*
Lands Department

The Lands Department has asked Henderson Land Development Co Ltd companies to provide more information regarding transactions of 24 units of its development at 39 Conduit Road.

The department had received a reply from the companies yesterday. It said they had entered into a verbal agreement with the 24 purchasers to extend the completion of the sale and purchase of the units for a period of between two to four months. Therefore, no assignment had been executed or delivered to the Land Registry for registration.

The companies also said the sales' completion might be further extended.

Given that the companies had entered into new agreements with the purchasers verbally, and could not be definite about whether the transactions could eventually be completed, the department issued another letter today requesting further information.

It will continue to monitor the situation and whether there is any anomaly.
