Closer ties: Fujian Vice Governor Ye Shuangyu greets Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Professor KC Chan in Fuzhou.

*

Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan has arrived in Fuzhou for a two-day visit to Fujian, promoting Hong Kong as a preferred capital raising centre for Mainland enterprises.

He first led 70 members of the Hong Kong financial services delegation at a luncheon hosted by provincial leaders today.

He introduced Hong Kong's strengths as an international financial centre and encouraged Mainland enterprises to use the city as a platform for listing, financing and expanding their global businesses.

Prof Chan and the delegation later went to Quanzhou to meet municipal leaders and attend a dinner reception.

Tomorrow he will address a listing seminar on capital raising for Fujian enterprises, followed by a visit to Xiamen in the afternoon where he will call on Xiamen Vice Mayor Huang Ling. He will also visit a Fujian enterprise before returning to Hong Kong tomorrow night.
