*

The Financial Secretary has re-appointed Brian Ho as Securities & Futures Commission's Corporate Finance Executive Director and Keith Lui as Supervision of Markets Executive Director.

Mr Lui has also been re-appointed as a member of Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing's Risk Management Committee.

Both Mr Ho and Mr Lui have extensive regulatory experience in the securities and futures field. Their appointments are for three years from tomorrow.

Mr Ho has been working in the commission for more than 15 years, and was appointed in August 2006 as its Executive Director (Corporate Finance) to oversee takeover and merger activities, corporate proposals and disclosures, and matters relating to listed companies and the listing of securities.

Mr Lui has been serving the commission for more than 17 years, and was appointed Executive Director (Supervision of Markets) in August 2006 to supervise HKEx and its clearing houses and be responsible for strategic planning for and development of market infrastructure.
