Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Rita Lau will visit Italy and France May 13 to 18 to enhance co-operation in wine trading and tourism, and promote Hong Kong's film industry.

Mrs Lau will sign a co-operation deal with Italy, Hong Kong's fifth wine production pact with an overseas jurisdiction. She will call on the minister of economic development and have meetings with a senator, the head of the Italian trade commission and dignitaries from the Italian trade and tourism sectors.

As 2009 marks the 100th anniversary of Hong Kong's film industry, Mrs Lau will attend the Marche du Film and Festival de Cannes in France and officiate at the China Night: Celebration of 100 Years of Hong Kong Cinema reception.
