A Sheung Shui site will be put up for auction at an opening bid of $30 million on May 5 - the financial year's first Government land auction, the Lands Department says.

Fanling Sheung Shui Town Lot No. 225 is located at San Fung Avenue in Shek Wu Hui. It is about 305.8 square metres in area and is designated for non-industrial purposes, excluding godown and hotel.

The department has accepted the applicant's minimum guaranteed bid of $30 million in triggering the lot for sale under the application list system. A minimum gross floor area of 716 square metres must be completed.

The final conditions of sale will be uploaded onto the department's website by April 17 when the particulars of the land auction will also be gazetted.

The auction will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai.
