At the Trademark Working Co-ordination Group's first meeting today in Beijing, Hong Kong and Mainland representatives discussed ways to strengthen information exchange relating to trademark protection.
They briefed each other on the latest developments of their local trademark matters and exchanged views on the co-ordination group's working mechanism.
Both sides agreed to post on their respective websites "trademark matters on the Mainland-Hong Kong" as one of the topical columns to facilitate public access to the material.
Hong Kong delegation head, Director of Intellectual Property Stephen Selby, said the meeting laid a solid foundation for future co-operation between the two sides.
The Hong Kong delegation comprised officials from the Commerce & Economic Development Bureau, the Intellectual Property Department and the Customs & Excise Department.
