Government Chief Information Officer Jeremy Godfrey will lead a delegation from the information and communications technology industry to visit Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney from November 10 to 14.
Mr Godfrey will attend the Trade Development Council's seminars to share his views on how Hong Kong can act as a gateway to the Mainland and become Australia's best partner to tap into the huge information and communications technology market.
He will also explain how Hong Kong and the Mainland can complement each other to become a destination for software outsourcing.
Mr Godfrey will call on a number of government departments in Australia. He will also witness the signing of memoranda of understanding between the industry bodies of Hong Kong and Australia.
The delegation will visit information and communications technology companies. Business-matching meetings will also be arranged for the Hong Kong companies to network with their potential Australian partners and explore business opportunities.
The delegation will return to Hong Kong on Friday.
