A seminar targeting small and medium enterprises in Hong Kong and Guangdong has been held in Shantou to strengthen the exchange on intellectual property between the two places.
Speaking at the seminar today, Director of Intellectual Property Stephen Selby said the seminar provided a platform for SMEs and government officials to keep abreast of the latest intellectual property developments.
The seminar showcased how Hong Kong intellectual property professional services helped promote the enterprises' development, and how these companies could protect their intellectual property in the region.
Mr Selby said Shantou SMEs could build up their corporate image and enhance competitiveness by strengthening the concepts of intellectual property protection and application, such as registering intellectual property in both places and using brand names for product promotion.
