Avenue of Stars to become wishing trail
*

The Avenue of Stars along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront will become a "Wishing Trail" for the coming holiday season, the Hong Kong Tourism Board says

It will also arrange an open-top Hong Kong WinterFest bus to run between festive points in Central and Causeway Bay, with local groups performing on board.

For this year's Hong Kong WinterFest, from November 30 to January 1, the board will promote celebrations in Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay and Central with local travel-trade partners, turning the districts into the city's focal points of festivities.

Local and renowned international artists will perform on streets from Friday to Sunday. A night tour will allow visitors to get a close-up view of Christmas and New Year lights in the festive districts.

The board's Executive Director Anthony Lau said WinterFest has created a lively and festive atmosphere in the city, making Hong Kong a popular destination for Christmas and New Year celebrations for Mainland and other short-haul market travelers.
