The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority today launched a fee comparative platform on its website.

The platform provides scheme members with information on fees and charges as measured by the average, highest or lowest fund expense ratio of the six main types of MPF funds, enabling comparison of fees and charges across different types of provident funds.

The platform will be launched in two phases as an amendment to the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance is required to empower the authority to publicly release the fees and charges of individual MPF funds trustees provide.

The authority will launch phase two of the platform - which will show the names and other detailed fee information of individual MPF funds - after legislative amendments are enacted. The bill was tabled at the Legislative Council June 27.
