Joseph Wong visits Beijing
*

Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology Joseph Wong has left Hong Kong for a two-day visit to Beijing.

 

Mr Wong will attend the third meeting of the Mainland-Hong Kong Science & Technology Co-operation Committee at the Ministry of Science & Technology. He will meet officials from the Ministry of Information Industry and sign an agreement to enhance the co-operation and exchange in information industry and technology between Hong Kong and the Mainland.

 

He will discuss business and trade issues with officials from the Ministry of Commerce and pay courtesy calls to the State Council 's Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Administration of Customs.

 

Mr Wong will also meet representatives from the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China to exchange views on Hong Kong enterprises' operations in the Mainland.

 

He will return to Hong Kong on April 17.
