Movie mogul: Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology Joseph Wong at the Hong Kong International Film & TV Market.
*

Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology Joseph Wong says the Government will support the media and entertainment industry, which is a key component of Hong Kong's creative industries.

He said the Government's initiative to form the $300-million Film Development Fund will help film directors and producers with finance problems.

Mr Wong today visited the Hong Kong International Film & TV Market at the Convention & Exhibition Centre to see the latest developments in film, television, animation and digital entertainment. It is the highlight of Entertainment Expo Hong Kong 2007 with more than 450 exhibitors from 30 countries.

He said apart from promoting film industry development, the expo will strengthen Hong Kong's position as a creative and entertainment capital.
