Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology Joseph Wong will fly to Davos on January 24 to attend a World Trade Organisation informal ministerial meeting on the Doha Round multilateral trade negotiations. He will then visit London to meet his counterparts.
In Davos, Mr Wong will join WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy and more than 20 trade ministers to discuss the way forward and how to advance the Doha Round negotiations towards a successful conclusion.
In London, Mr Wong will meet with UK Secretary of State for Trade & Industry Alistair Darling to exchange views on matters of common interest and to enhance Hong Kong's trade relations with the UK.
He will also meet with UK Minister for Creative Industries & Tourism Shaun Woodward and UK Film Council Chairman Stewart Till to share experiences on the government's support for creative industries, in particular the film industry.
Mr Wong will return to Hong Kong on January 31.
