Job survey to start in January

*
Census & Statistics Department

A quarterly employment survey will be conducted in January to solicit information about recruiters, recruitees, and the number of job vacancies in major sectors.

The Census & Statistics Department says the survey findings are useful as short-term economic indicators and provide the latest information on changes in the labour market.

The survey covers about 35,000 establishments which are drawn from the industrial and services sectors.

The department is sending questionnaires by mail or by fax to selected establishments, which must complete and return them within the specified period. For enquiries, call 2234 3700.
