Tenders are being sought for the purchase of 40 flats and the two rooftops of Block A and 40 designated car-parking spaces in one parcel at former government quarters Wylie Court, on Wylie Path, Kowloon.

Each flat has a saleable area of about 1,629 square feet. The flats, together with designated car-parking spaces, will be sold either with vacant possession or subject to existing tenancies, and the two rooftops with vacant possession.

Flat B on 16/F, Flat A on 7/F and Flat B on 3/F of Wylie Court Block A will be open for inspection by interested parties from 2.30pm to 5.30pm on November 9 and 30, and 10am to 1pm on November 16 and 23. Interested parties should register at Flat B on 3/F before inspection.

Demand for non-departmental quarters has dropped as civil servants joining the Government on or after October 1, 1990, are not eligible for such quarters with the introduction of new civil service housing benefit schemes. It has been the Government's intention to dispose of surplus government quarters where circumstances permit. Since the 1990s, more than 180 surplus quarters have been sold in the market.
