Hong Kong's workforce has grown to 3,427,500 for the quarter ending June, up 1.8% on the same period last year, the Census & Statistics Department says.
The Quarterly Report on General Household Survey for April-June 2006, released today, says employees' median monthly incomes have risen 2%, to $10,000, compared with the same period last year.
The second quarter also saw the number of unemployed fall 12.5%, to 179,000, while the underemployed dropped 4.5%, to 96,000.
