Hong Kong's official foreign currency reserve assets amounted to US$127.4 billion at the end of July, US$800 million more than June, the Monetary Authority says.
Hong Kong is the world's eighth largest holder of foreign currency reserves, after the Mainland, Japan, Russia, Taiwan, South Korea, India and Singapore.
The total foreign currency reserve assets represent over six times the currency in circulation or about 39% of Hong Kong dollar M3.
