Property sales down 21.7% in June

The total number of sale and purchase agreements for all types of building units the Land Registry received in July was 6,661, down 21.7% on June and 25.4% on July 2005.

 

Using a 12-month moving average, the figure for July represented a fall of 2.3% on June and 28.7% on July 2005.

 

The total consideration of these agreements in the month was $17.4 billion, down 29.3% on June and 42.1% year-on-year.

 

Among the 6,661 sale and purchase agreements, 5,398 were sale and purchase agreements for residential units, down 24.5% on June and 28% compared with the same month last year.

 

The total consideration of these agreements in the month was $13.8 billion, down 29.2% on June and 43.4% on July 2005.
