Book Fair
Browsing bookworms: Book lovers check out the 17th Hong Kong Book Fair.
*

Participants in the 17th Hong Kong Book Fair have grown 11% on last year, with 434 exhibitors partaking this time around, exhibiting 10,000 titles.

Religious books top the fair's new titles, followed by popular, children's, social science, literature, finance and business, travel guides, history, spiritual, and arts and music books.

The fair features an international cultural village where books from 15 countries and regions are available, such as New Zealand, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan and India.

Famous writers such as Louis Cha and Ni Kuang, and literature historian Professor Lo Wai-luen will share their writing and reading experience. Writers from Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Mainland will also discuss cultural matters and host meet-the-readers sessions.

The fair is being staged at the Convention & Exhibition Centre until 10pm daily from July 19 to 21. On July 22, opening hours will be extended to 2am. On July 24 it will close at 6pm.
