The Census & Statistics Department has started an annual survey to collect information about the Hong Kong units set up by overseas companies and their management's view on conducting business locally.

The 2006 Annual Survey of Companies in Hong Kong Representing Parent Companies Located outside Hong Kong will help the Government formulate strategies for cultivating a favourable environment for doing business.

Questionnaires have been sent to companies, for return by June 10. The survey is being conducted on a voluntary basis, under Part IIIA of the Census & Statistics Ordinance (Chapter 316).
