Chief Executive Donald Tsang will lead government officials and local business leaders on a visit to Guangxi and Yunnan in early June, to promote economic and trade co-operation between Hong Kong and the Pan-Pearl River Delta region.

Mr Tsang will fly on June 2 to Guangxi  to attend the "Guangxi/Hong Kong Economic & Trade Cooperation Symposium" and visit local enterprises and infrastructural facilities during the two-day tour. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council organised the Guangxi delegation.

Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology (Commerce & Industry) Yvonne Choi, Director of Information Services Edward Yau and Information Co-ordinator Andy Ho will accompany the Chief Executive.

Mr Tsang will leave for Kunming on June 4 to attend the "Third Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation & Development Forum" which opens on June 5.

In the coming months, the Chief Executive will lead business delegations to Pan-PRD provinces and regions, including Hunan, Guizhou and Jiangxi.

Chief Secretary for Administration Rafael Hui will be the acting Chief Executive during Mr Tsang's absence.
