Allahabad Bank granted banking licence

A banking licence has been granted to Allahabad Bank, effective April 26, bringing Hong Kong's licensed banks to 133.

 

Allahabad Bank was incorporated in India in 1865. According to The Bankers' July 2005 issue, it is the thirteenth largest bank in India in terms of total assets.
