Danish date: Director-General of Investment Promotion Mike Rowse promotes Hong Kong and Dongguan investment in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Director-General of Investment Promotion Mike Rowse says Hong Kong and Dongguan are a winning combination for Danish companies wanting to expand to the Mainland.

Speaking in Copenhagen today, Mr Rowse said companies can benefit from establishing a business presence in the world-class financial, logistics and service centre of Hong Kong, and locate their manufacturing plant in Dongguan, which offers first-rate and cost-effective production.

The seminar was the seventh joint initiative overseas by the two cities to promote investment in the Greater Pearl River Delta. It attracted 250 business executives.

"The favourable response from the Danish business community is very encouraging for our investment promotion efforts in northern Europe," Mr Rowse said. "Our department will actively follow up with the companies and facilitate their future investment in our region."

Dongguan Deputy Mayor Zhang Shunguang hoped the seminar can further strengthen co-operation between the two cities and attract more European investment.
