Financial Secretary Henry Tang says people should know more about Mandatory Provident Fund investment and choose the right portfolio according to their own risk tolerance level and objectives.
Speaking on a television programme tonight, Mr Tang called on people to take better care of their MPF investment to add value to their future.
Noting he is prudent in both public and personal finance, the secretary believed efficient investment in personal finance will result in more savings for retirement.
A hassle-free retirement
Mr Tang said his ideal retirement life is a trinity of family, friends and funds.
"A spouse will provide mutual support in retirement; sharing mutual interests and hobbies with friends will add fun to retirement; and sufficient funds will ensure a hassle-free retirement," he said.
The show also saw MPF Ambassador Chan Wing-luk providing tips for MPF investment. Co-organised by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority and TVB, the show is one of the key activities of the MPF Investment Education Campaign. It will be broadcast on TVB-Jade at 11pm on April 6. For more details of the education campaign click here or call 2918 0102.
