People can now apply to obtain disclosable particulars relating to 350,000 active establishments in Hong Kong maintained by the Census & Statistics Department.
The information is updated quarterly through feedback from surveys and administrative returns from Government departments.
The department's Central Register of Establishments serves mainly as the sampling frame for economic surveys. Other departments and private organisations also use the disclosable particulars in their surveys, publicity, promotions, customer classification and research.
These disclosable particulars cover the name, address, type of business and employment size class of the establishment. They are available in two forms - the 20% Sample Listing and the Matching Operation with Specified Establishments.
