Financial Secretary Henry Tang will present the 2006-07 Budget in the Legislative Council, meet the media and partake in a joint TV panel discussion on February 22, which will be broadcast live at www.budget.gov.hk. The speech's full text and related documents will also be available on the website.

 

ATV-World, TVB-Pearl, RTHK Radio 3 and Putonghua Channel will broadcast the speech live, while the press conference will be aired live at ATV-World, RTHK Radio 3 and Putonghua Channel at 2pm. The Budget Forum will be held at 7pm.

 

On Thursday Mr Tang will attend RTHK's Financial Secretary's Budget Phone-in programme at 8am.

 

Copies of the Budget Speech and a leaflet highlighting key proposals will be available at 20 Home Affairs Department public enquiry service centres and an Information Services Department counter at Murray Building in Central after the speech, until 7.30pm.

Copies of the leaflet will also be distributed at:

* Queensway, North Point and Tsuen Wan Government Offices; and the Immigration, Revenue, Wan Chai and Trade & Industry Department Towers;

* Labour Department offices at Revenue Tower, Western Magistracy, Marina House in Shau Kei Wan, Stelux House in San Po Kong, Cheung Sha Wan,

Mong Kok, Kowloon East and Kwai Hing Government Offices;

* Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tai Koo, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, Wong Tai Sin, Kwun Tong, Kwai Fong, Tsuen Wan, Po Lam and Tsing Yi MTR stations;
