The Exchange Fund's foreign assets amounted to $918.4 billion in January, up $33.5 billion on December, the Monetary Authority says.
The Monetary Base, comprising Certificates of Indebtedness, Government-issued currency notes and coins in circulation, the aggregate balance of the banking system and Exchange Fund bills and notes issued, amounted to 303.8 billion.
Private sector claims amounted to 81.7 billion.
Foreign liabilities, representing mainly obligations under repurchase agreements, amounted to $1.5 billion.
