Record breaker: The new Symphony of Lights show has been specially designed. |
Guinness World Record-winning show A Symphony of Lights will be attempting another first at 8pm December 23 when Phase II of the programme is launched with 33 buildings taking part.
The Tourism Commission says the show will be enhanced with specially designed pyrotechnic displays that night and the following two evenings.
Spectators can watch the new show on either the Hong Kong or Kowloon waterfront. The best viewing locations include the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui and the Promenade at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai where the new soundtrack will be broadcast in different languages - English on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Putonghua on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; and Cantonese on Sunday.
Spectators can also listen to the soundtrack by tuning in to FM103.4 (English), FM106.8 (Cantonese) or FM107.9 MHz (Putonghua); or via their mobile phones by dialing 35-665-665 (English) or 35-665-668 (Putonghua).
The new show comprises five major themes, taking spectators on a unique journey celebrating the energy, spirit and diversity of Hong Kong.
