New Territories Lunar New Year Fair stall auctions will start on Wednesday.

The opening price for 689 wet goods and 302 dry goods stalls is $440, and for three fast-food stalls it is $6,050.

Nine fairs will be set up at:

* Sha Tsui Road Playground in Tsuen Wan;

* Kwai Chung Sports Ground in Kwai Tsing;

* the Tin Hau Temple in Tuen Mun;

* Tung Tau Industrial Area Playground in Yuen Long;

* Shek Wu Hui Playground in North District;

* Tin Hau Temple Fung Shui Square in Tai Po;

* Yuen Wo Playground in Sha Tin;

* Man Yee Playground in Sai Kung;and

* Po Hong Park in Tseung Kwan O.

A successful bidder must pay the stall's bid price at the fall of the hammer. 

Successful bidders who fail to pay the sum required immediately after the auction will forfeit their right and the stalls concerned will immediately be put up for re-auction.

The Government will sue bidders whose cheques are not honoured or those who fail to pay the sum required immediately after the auction. Recovery action on the bid prices in arrears may also be taken.
