There were 795 bankruptcy petitions presented in October, down 5.5% from September's 841, and a drop of 19.2% compared with last year's average monthly figure of 1,041.
The Official Receiver's Office said during the month, the court made 697 bankruptcy orders, down 19 from the previous month's figure of 716, and a drop of 38.5% on the average monthly figure of 1,133 last year.
