There were 841 bankruptcy petitions presented in September, down 9.57% on the August figure of 930, and a drop of 19.2% compared with last year's average monthly figure of 1,041.
The Official Receiver's Office said during the month, the court made 716 bankruptcy orders, down 347 from the previous month's figure of 1,063, and a drop of 36.8% on the average monthly figure of 1,133 last year.
