Film fund applications open
*

Applications for the 2005 Film Development Fund are open until November 30.

The Commerce, Industry & Technology Bureau said the fund has been reactivated and will take applications three times a year. Funding support will be provided for projects that are beneficial to the overall development of the Hong Kong film industry.

The Legislative Council this year has approved the redeployment of $20 million to reactivate the fund.

The fund has so far allocated more than $48 million to 72 projects. Sponsorships were also provided to 40 local film projects so they could participate in festivals and promote local movies overseas.

Application forms and guidelines are available at the Television & Entertainment Licensing Authority's Film Services Office, 40/F Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai; or the office's website. For enquiries call 2594 5765 or email info@fso-tela.gov.hk.
